The moral is to question and challenge everything (in a productive way). Try to understand why it was raised, then see if its a REAL problem by discussing it. So it may may be "You Ain't Gonna Need It", but mostly its "You Ain't Gonna Need it - Yet", YAGNIY Very familiar with YAGNI ;-) have developers shout it out whenever they hear of a new feature or requirement.

The only thing that forces us to use these tremendous products is a partnership for marketing reason. We use Grails, so you know, Java + MySQL on some Linux box is more than enough.
