About Me

Photo of me, eating of course....

I have been involved in IT and Technology innovation for over 15 years, with experience in software engineering and management. My is as far reaching as large multi-national corporates to start-ups and consulting engagements.

Whilst studying for a Master of Business (eBusiness & Communications) degree in 1999, I was involved in several large IT projects in a variety of industries. By 2001, my ability to manage projects effectively and successfully led to opportunities for companies such as Woolworths, Foster’s Breweries and Royal & Sun Alliance. From 2003 to 2005, I was with the Australian Wheat Board (AWB) as a Project Manager, Business Analyst & Enterprise Architecture Consultant in trading systems, and have had the responsibility of delivering projects with over $40 million budgets and 30 staff.

In 2005, I helped establish Aegeon Pty Ltd that was initially established to work with Trading organisations to optimise and realise their investment in IT. Aegeon evolved to providing consulting capabilities around IT Strategy and Architecture, Web 2.0, Agile delivery and Product Development for many leading companies in Australia and around the world. It quickly grew to over $2 Million in Revenue and 30 employees in the first year.

I was part of Aegeon from its humble beginnings to developing an Enterprise 2.0 product called Spaceo.us (pronounced ‘spacious’) through organic growth and consequently taken to market. Aegeon has recently incorporated in the USA, which has also brought in the first round of Angel Investors.

Apart from the growth of the company, I successfully negotiated and secured many Blue Chip contracts with companies such as Sensis, Lonely Planet, Qantas and Nissan in Australia. My role also included implementing and growing of an Agile delivery team, sourcing and securing an Offshore Development Centre in China as well as being the technical face of the company, speaking at many conferences and engagements on Aegeon, Web 2.0 and Enterprise 2.0.
